Hamas Attacks Israel

 October 9, 2023- Monday-  

Two days ago, Hamas launched a tremendous attack against Israel. Israel did not know this was about to happen. The Israeli intelligence organization did not know it was coming. The attack was intense with more than one thousand rockets being fired from Gaza into southern and western Israel. The Hamas terrorists breached the fortified border into Israel and attached hundreds of people and killed hundreds. They also kidnapped over one hundred people which included women and children. The initial attacks were very bloody and there are reports of Hamas terrorists stripping women and beating and raping them in the streets.

 

Most decent people in the western world are denouncing the attacks and are publishing hard statements against the Hamas terrorism. The President of the United States, Joe Biden, has given a statement denouncing the terrorist attacks and “rock solid support” for Israel. This is as it should be. There are a few indecent people in the United States who took to the streets of New York City declaring Israel is responsible for the Hamas attack. These people are stupid from the word, “Go”, but the news media loves to give these types of individuals time on their newscasts because of how inflamed the video images are. These individuals were part of the Democratic Socialist Party. This group has managed to get a couple of individuals elected to the United States House of Representatives. This country allows individuals the freedom to be stupid as in this case. Their numbers do not warrant the news media coverage. 


I want to see Israel thrive. I want to see Israel at peace. This attack is outrageous, but it cannot be a surprise. Israel has been in the crosshairs of Muslim countries for over four thousand years. What causes disdain for me is how our media organizations insist on calling Hamas “militants” instead of what they really are, terrorists. I have used the term terrorists throughout this blog because that is exactly what we are dealing with in this war. They operate as terrorists and take great pride in their terrorist activities. Our weak and liberally handicapped media needs to wake up and realize the reality of our world and what is actually happening in Israel. It is a philosophical and literary crime to try to portray these terrorists in a better light than they deserve. This was a terrorist attack not a conflict with militants.

Dying in Chicago Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

September 6, 2025- Saturday I haven’t had much to say lately about the news and that's probably good. The constant news cycle has worn me out. I still listen to the news so I will know what is happening, but I have cut out much of the news because of all the negativity that gets repeated several times per hour. We now have word that seven people were killed in Chicago over the Labor Day weekend. Over thirty people were shot or injured in the shootings. The weekly shootings and killing in Chicago, Illinois has been constant for the last several years. It is debatable as to who all is doing the shooting, but the fact is, the shooting continues on a weekly basis in Chicago and nothing the political and law enforcement leaders do in Chicago changes anything. September 2025  Topic of the Day- Life. Like Architecture, is a ver. If designed well, it works. It’s beautiful, and it needs no directions. It needs maintenance. How does one effectively maintain well in life? Some people are very goal oriented and seem to be obsessed with self-improvement. I think a lot of maintaining our lives is actually improving ourselves as we go through life. Maintenance in life is improving and moving forward, mostly through education.   One concept I was not taught in school is the concept of lifelong learning.
