Code of Valor by Lynette Eason

April 20, 2024- Saturday   I am an avid reader. I like reading a variety of genres, but I definitely prefer to read mystery novels or action/adventure novels. I like all of John Grisham’s books. I enjoy all the books I’ve read by David Baldacci. Joel Rosenberg is a great writer. I also have decided I don’t want to only read books by male novelists so I have purposefully worked to find some female authors of novels I can enjoy. I have read several books by Mary Higgins Clark, and I really like her approach to a story. I also recently read a book by Lis Wiehl which was also very entertaining, so I have been able to broaden my scope of authors which has opened a whole new group of books to me.   Lynette Eason is a new author for me. She released a book in 2019 called “Code of Valor”. This is a story about a slightly flawed woman who is smart and tracked by multiple killers because of what she has access to and what she is capable of doing. She develops a relationship...

Concert By Kristin Chenoweth

April 11, 2024-   My son gave my wife, my daughter and I tickets to see Kristin Chenoweth in concert this past Sunday night in Dallas, Texas at the Winspear Opera House. I have always liked Ms. Chenoweth and enjoyed her talent. Yes, she sings very well, but she is an overall performer, so I was excited to actually be able to see her in person. I had no idea .   Kristin Chenoweth was much better than I even imagined. Her voice is a treasure and such a wonderful gift to be able to hear her sing. Her voice is so clear and so distinct. Her stage presence is so good, and her personality is so alive for an audience .   My daughter asked me a question after the concert was finished. What song did you like the most? I thought for a short time and said, “You Were Always on My Mind.” This song has been considered a country song, but the way Ms. Chenoweth fashioned the song to fit her distinct talents made it a very memorable song for me. I know when I hear that song i...

Israel vs. Hamas- Where Are the Muslims?

April 6, 2024 It was highly publicized this week that United States President Joe Biden talked directly with Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. W e’re being told, President Biden worked to force Netanyahu to back off their attacks on Hamas because of the innocent Palestinians and some aid workers who have been killed in the war. Israel has made mistakes and a few horrible mistakes. As is the case so many times in our day and age, people have forgotten what started all of this. Hamas came out of hiding in Gaza and killed over 1000 Israelis, many of which were children. Let’s not forget this was an unprovoked attack and slaughter of people. Israel has determined to extinguish Hamas who went back into hiding in Gaza. Public sentiment has shifted somewhat to sympathy for the Palestinians for some bizarre reason. None of us want innocent people killed or hurt. Ask yourself this, why are the Palestinians trapped in Gaza? Why can’t they go to another nearby Muslim co...

The Transsexual Easter

April 3, 2024- Wednesday   This past Sunday was March 31 st . It was Easter Sunday, one of the two grand Christian holidays on the calendar and is celebrated worldwide. Unfortunately, businesses have recognized Easter as another opportunity to push sales of a variety of items such as candy, greeting cards and groceries. Many Christian churches work very hard to keep the focus on the reason for the holiday, the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and work hard to get people to not take the celebration lightly and not allow it to be caught in a mangle of other activities .   On the Saturday before Easter, Joe Biden formerly recognized March 31 st as Transgender Day of Visibility. This day of recognition was done by liberal leaders involved with transsexual individuals so they could continue with their drive to have a national day to celebration the normalcy of transsexual individuals. Those liberal voices were obsessed with getting a day to normalize this type of lifest...
