Felon Former President Donald J. Trump

May 31, 2024- Friday-   Former President Donald Trump’s trial for falsifying financial records and money paid to a porn star to keep her quiet about an alleged affair if finished.  There were thirty-four counts against him, and he was found guilty of all counts.  Now what?   Strangely enough, Donald Trump can continue to campaign to be President of the United States .  He can actually still vote for himself in Floriday based on how Florida law is written .  Trump has vowed to continue to campaign heavily to win the November election .  He will definitely be traveling circles around Joe Biden during the summer and fall .  Trump will not be accused of not working hard to win the election.   There are many people who still believe in Donald Trump .  His campaign raised $34 million yesterday after the verdict was rendered .  There are still a huge number of people convinced Donald Trump is the greatest president ever and shoul...

Memorial Day 2024-

May 27, 2024- Monday- Memorial Day   I know, if you are reading this blog, you’re probably thinking oh no, not another person’s opinion about Memorial Day. Memorial Day is set aside for us to pay respect to people who died in service for the United States. These people made a choice to serve their country and because of that choice, they were placed in positions that caused them to die. Some of these people were in the military to find a way in life. Some were drafted and did not have an option to serve. Some were very patriotic individuals and were proud to give their lives for this country. Not everyone who has died while in service to the country were heroes. They died in accidents. Some did not really want to be placed in harm’s way, but they were in those positions and died. Others entered the armed services knowing there was the possibility they would die in their jobs. Some of these individuals may not be able to be classified as heroes in the truest sense of th...

Sometimes Change is Not Necessary

May 23, 2024- Thursday   Today is Thursday, May 23, 2024. For most people it is just another day in the week. For some teenagers, today is the last day of school for them. Possibly their last day of school ever because they are graduating from high school. For me, today is another day in another week of retirement but emotionally, it is a little more than that .   I had four largely wonderful years of high school. The sophomore year was a bit of a struggle but not enough to dim my whole high school experience. I enjoyed going to high school. I had very good friends in high school. Like many schools, my high school had some great traditions and many of the students worked to make sure those traditions lasted .   Today, my high school is closing. It is not being moved to another, more modern campus. It is to be closed and extinguished. The name will be gone. The traditions will be gone. My hook into the city’s well-being will be gone. I will have my memori...

Pro-Hamas & Palestinian University Protests- Remember October 6th

May 3, 2024- Friday   This week has been filled with campus protests in the United States . The protests are centered on anti-Semitic beliefs . These students are calling for the universities to divest their finances from any company that supports Israel . The protests quickly moved from groups of students coming together to shout their disapproval of universities investments to the taking over of campus buildings.   These students are largely students from Arab descent, and many have an ingrained hatred for Jews and Israel. They have no problems with the fact Hamas, a Palestinian terrorist group invaded Israel on October 6, 2023, and killed 1200 Jews and took over 100 hostages in an unprovoked attack . The viciousness of this invasion has been documented but all of this has now been lost in the images of shouting students on American university campuses.   We are now finding out these protests are being fueled by people and money not associated with the uni...
