Learning to Pivot

Thought for the Day- Learn to pivot: Get relative with the inevitable.

This question has everything to do with change. It is said change is inevitable. That is true. I spent forty-seven years in health care. I do not remember when change was either being forced on me or I was the one forcing change. It is not change one needs to be concerned. It is how one accepts and adapts to change.

One of the most significant change challenges I have ever faced has been retirement. Moving from excessive activity one day to very limited activity the next has been hard. The challenge now is mental engagement and mental acuity. Working for optimum health. Maintaining value.

Ever-increasing age makes these three things more important and more difficult. Ever advancing age means continual adaption. It leaves us all with one significant decision to make. Does one get creative and work to add quality to life or does one quit?

In the famous words of Winston Churchill, “Never give up!”
