Success

Topic of the Day- Any success takes one in a row. Do one thing well, the another. Once, then once more. Over and over until the end, then it’s one in a row again.

How does one succeed? This whole idea of one success in a row is theoretically true. How do you get that first success in a row?

First, one must decide what they want to accomplish. Is it learning how to play baseball? Is it asking a girl for a date? Is it becoming a doctor? Once you know where you are going, you might ask someone how to do it. Some use the scientific method of trial and error. If you fail, then another approach is tried. That first success requires action. A person must do something. To do nothing guarantees failure.

Constant failure with rare success or no success should cause a person to evaluate whether the direction one is headed is the way they should be going. A person in sales who makes no sales should consider whether something other than sales should be their direction. That is when a person should really look at their talents and skills and determine where those talents and skills would best fit for success.

Success takes action but it also takes work. Sometimes that will mean formal education. It will require repetition. Most people experience much more success than they realize. The success may not be at a level they had hoped but it succeeded. We need to learn to recognize success and learn to appreciate the small successes. Everyone wants huge victories and successes but that is not life. Success is life though and people can routinely succeed if they focus on where they are going and learn how to get there.
