Time For Trump to Move On

November 20, 2025- Thursday Today is the funeral of former Vice President Dick Cheney. He was 85 years old. Cheney is still known to have been the most powerful Vice-President in the history of the United States . All former Vice-Presidents are at the  funeral,  but the present Vice-President and President were not invited. President Trump and Vice -President J.D. Vance accused Cheney’s daughter, Liz Cheney, of trying to show Trump had worked to overthrow the  U.S. government in  the protests that happened on January 6, 2020.  President Trump sent his “Make America Great Again” foot soldiers to Wyoming and worked to get Liz Cheney removed from office. They succeeded.   It is interesting to see the harsh divide in the politics we have today. There is one common factor in  all  the contention today and that is Donald Trump. No More Government Shutdowns

November 3, 2025- Monday T he U.S. Senate is considering  eliminating  the  filibuster  so the Republicans can open the government. The  Democrats  ae holding out for  $1.5 trillion  so they can continue to fund Obamacare.  I hope the Senate  eliminates  the  filibuster  because I  don’t  think the government should ever close. That should never be a consequence of any legislation.  If the powers that  be cannot   agree  on a budget, at the end of the budget year, the previous  year's  budget should  immediately  go into place with an autom atic 2% reduction in the budget. That would apply to all departments except for non-elected salaries. I would also include the elected official appointees who see the 2% reduction in salary. I  think that would work.     There are people who have legitimate needs for some government  assistance  that stopped this...
