We're A Sanctuary City!

Illegal immigrants are welcome here!  If you are here illegally, come to our city and we will take care of you!  Illegal immigrants can come to our city and not feel afraid of being sent back to your home country!  We love illegal immigrants!  

These are the declarations of the leaders of Sanctuary Cities in the United States.  New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles are the key Sanctuary Cities proudly proclaiming how illegal immigrants are very welcome to come to their cities and live.  Those cities will provide a protected environment for those illegals and let them take part in the American Dream.  This was before the rubber met the road.  

What the Democratic leaders of these cities were really saying is this, "If there are ten or fifteen illegal immigrants wandering around the country with no place to go, they could come to their city and not be afraid of being sent back to their home country."  That's what they really meant when they so proudly proclaimed to be Sanctuary Cities.  Enter Texas Governor Gregg Abbott.

Texas, Arizona, New Mexico and California borders were succumbing to an onslaught of illegal immigrants coming into the United States and looking for somewhere to land.  They come with little to no money.  No jobs. No skills. No education. Nothing.  But they started expecting the American cities along the border to care for them.  Governor Abbott said, "Ok." In a totally genius move, he ordered the arriving illegals to be sent to the Sanctuary Cities by the busloads.  You want to be a Sanctuary City.  Here ya go!  

Well, it was more than 10 or 15 illegal immigrants.  It was more like 10,000 illegal immigrants going to the Sanctuary City of New York City.  The same for San Francisco and Chicago.  The mayor of Chicago didn't want them in reality and sent them to suburban cities to deal with the problems.  Greg Abbott has made the problem real for everyone, especially those liberal, Democratic Sanctuary Cities and now they are crying foul.  These Sanctuary City leaders are begging for help from Joe Biden to care for these people.  Biden and other people in his administration has said there isn't a problem until last night when they decided it was time to continue to build the Trump Wall in Texas.  

This is typical of many politicians.  They say wild things in order to appeal to a specific philosophy and to get votes.  When it comes time to actually live out their philosophies, it's good for everyone but them.  They don't want to deal with their philosophical problems.  They just want to talk about it.  It's now time to bite the bullet and deal with the immigration problem and put it in the rear-view window.  More and more people are now wanting the problem to be addressed except for the charter bus companies making big bucks helping Greg Abbott to make the border states' problems, the nation's problems.
