Supreme Court Changes and Move to Socialism

Lame duck President Joe Biden has announced today to make structural changes to the Supreme Court. First, Biden has proposed term limits.  The term would be 18 years.  Biden has also proposed ethics policies for Supreme Court members to control influence and bias of the Supreme Court justices.  

Before we go any further, we need to acknowledge these recommendations for change are not Joe Biden’s ideas.  They are the ideas of the cabal running the United States White House administration right now.   

It’s very clear the Democrats were good with the Supreme Court majority who were legislating their causes from the bench and ignoring what the Constitution says.  Now there has been a shift in philosophy of the justices who lean heavily on the Constitution, the Democrats want to change the rules because they are no longer getting their way legally.   

The good news is Republicans control the House of Representatives and Biden’s proposals will never be considered.  It would also take a two thirds majority to change the Constitution and that isn’t going to happen.  What could happen is the Democrats adding new members to the court to change the political majority so they will be more in line with liberal philosophies.  The Democrats are complaining about that very thing now. They want to do what they say the Republicans are doing.  The hypocrisy is off the charts.  

The ethics guidelines are another thing.  Justice Clarence Thomas is the chief offender in this category.  Thomas has been on trips with people who do have political influence and his wife is deep into Republican groups and causes.  I still hold the belief the Supreme Courts justices should not have political philosophies that invade their legal decisions.  Taht may be a lot to expect but there should be nine legal minds in this great country with the ability to make a decision based solely on the law and now a political or ideological philosophy.  Ethics guidelines are not bad. 

This whole topic of Supreme Court changes is yet another example of Democratic philosophy being void of standards.  If anything gets in the way of their ideology, even the Constitution, then whatever it is must be changed so they can move into the socialist government they so desperately want.   

This is why the upcoming general election is so important.  Control of philosophies and ideologies are at stake.  A socialist state versus a republic form of government.  In general, I don’t think the American public at large actually sees what is happening and what the aftermath will be.  In November, we will see3 how smart the American voters are and if they want socialism or not.
