Presidential Debate Winner, Kamala Harris

 ESSAY- Last night we witnessed the first Presidential nominee debate.  The debate was moderated by David Muir and Linsey Davis of ABC news.  I’ll get to that.  The bottom line is this; Kamala Harris had a very good night debating Donald Trump.  No word salads like she is famous for delivering.  She delivered her practiced lines very well and she baited Donald Trump into railing against topics that had long since be debated.  No one in their right mind would think anything other than Harris performed well.  Trump did not.   

Kamala Harris is not that good of an actress.  Her planned and executed facial expressions looked practiced.  Her planned speeches on specific topics were practiced well and delivered well.  Harris’ preparation for the debated definitely exceeded Trump’s efforts.  What did Kamala say? 

We’re not sure yet.  There were many generalities and a firm commitment to abortion.  She also delivered a minimum of 14 inaccurate statements.  Lies.  Harris still tried to tie the Project 2025 to Trump although that has been denied many times.  She also dipped into history to bring up Trump’s comments after Charlottesville and the racial tensions and death there.  She did only give the audience a part of Trump’s comments instead of all of them which paints the full picture but that is Harris’ modis operandi.   

She lied about oil fracking by saying she never said she would ban fracking.  The video archives say otherwise.  Yes, land leases were created for fracking, but the additional regulations added to it made the whole proposition unattainable.  She didn’t mention that.  Harris also had no answer for all the millions of illegal aliens now in the country due to her and Joe Biden’s ignoring of the influx of potential new voters for the Democrats from other countries.  Harris also never answered the question if people in the U.S. are better off now than they were four years ago.  She didn’t answer it because she knows the answer herself.  No, we’re not. 

Donald Trump delivered a minimum of 16 inaccuracies or exaggerations.  No, not calling these lies but they were off-the-charts exaggerations.  Have no fear however, David Muir and Linsey Davis were quick to point out Trump’s inaccuracies.  They abruptly and aggressively “fact checked” Trump a minimum of 5 times.  How many times did they fact check Harris? Zero.  They had opportunities but fact checking the Vice President did not fit into their philosophical narrative.  It was clear Muir and Davis had their agenda for the debate which was to make sure Harris looked as good as possible.  They accomplished their goal.  Trump also helped them make her look good.   

Polls are interesting things.  Trumps numbers regarding the economy are much better today than they were prior to the debate.  The polls referencing who will win the upcoming election are basically tied today following a good Harris debate and a bad Trump debate.   

My concluding thought is this; in a vast, sophisticated and advanced country such as the United States, why is it the best two candidates we can get for the most powerful single position in the world are Kamala Harris and Donald Trump?  Can't we do better than this? We have two people with different agendas.  Harris is wanting to be in position to advance a very liberal philosophy throughout the United States and force it on the overall population through legislation designed to change how people believe and how they live their lives.  She won’t tell you that.  Donald Trump is so arrogant and such an egotist; this is another accomplishment he is seeking and something he wants to end his life on.  He won’t tell you that either. 

Babies will continue to die with Kamala Harris.  People in the United States with more than a simple majority don’t have a problem terminating babies.  I’ll never understand that.  That is why I can never vote for Harris.  She has said in the past she doesn’t have problems with eight month and nine-month abortions.  She sugar coats the whole process under the phrase “reproductive health”.  It’s not health, it’s death.  I cannot fathom that in a civilized society.   

Harris won the debate.  People will lose with her as president.  Babies will certainly lose.
