Saints Crush the Cowboys, 44-19.
September 16, 2024- Monday
Let the Monday Morning quarterbacking begin. The Dallas Cowboys fell to the New Orleans Saints yesterday, 44-19 and the game really was not that close. The Saints offense was not slowed down much by the Cowboys defense. The Cowboys' defense was the talk of the town all week after a dominating performance against Cleveland but had no answers for the Saints offense. The Saints ran at will and scored touchdowns on their first six possessions. The Saints need to be credited with an outstanding game plan both offensively and defensively. The saints players need to be congratulated for spotless execution.
What is wrong with the Dallas Cowboys? The Cowboys lost several starters from last year's team. Those players were replaced by second level free agents or 2024 draft picks. The $60 million per year starting quarterback had his inconsistent game with 299 yards passing but two drive killing interceptions and yet another fumble. The Dallas Cowboys' general manager said in the offseason they were "all in" in doing what was necessary to get the Cowboys to the Super Bowl. Many assumed incorrectly, Jerry Jones meant this year. To this point, the Cowboys have a few good players and a lot of back-up players serving as starters. The Dallas money is invested in Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, Zack Martin and soon will be given to Micah Parsons. There is not going to be a lot of money left for the remaining team members. "All in" means different things to different people. To Cowboys fans it means working to get to the Super Bowl this year. To General Manager Jerry Jones, it means something totally different.
