Truth-

July 10, 2025- Thursday 

Statement- Truth is like a jalapeno. The closer to the root the hotter it gets. 

This statement can be true, and it can also be a statement designed simply to get attention. I would say truth in a given situation is very simple. The heat associated with truth is usually found in either the cover-up of the truth or attempts to justify the truth.

We have recently learned of political campaign cover-ups in 2016. We have business leaders who mislead consumers in their advertising. Those we need to be concerned are those who specialize in half-truths. Those people give us information they want us to know and purposely leave out cogent parts of the subject. Our news networks are especially good at that. It seems many people are afraid of the truth because the truth does not fit their personal desires. We see that in people who criticize Christianity because Christianity does not endorse their decisions in life.

Truth can be hard to accept but that does not change the truth.

December 19, 2025- Friday The college football 2025-26 playoffs begin today with Alabama Crimson Tide playing the University of Oklahoma Sooners in Norman, Oklahoma. Dying in Chicago Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

September 6, 2025- Saturday I haven’t had much to say lately about the news and that's probably good. The constant news cycle has worn me out. I still listen to the news so I will know what is happening, but I have cut out much of the news because of all the negativity that gets repeated several times per hour. We now have word that seven people were killed in Chicago over the Labor Day weekend. Over thirty people were shot or injured in the shootings. The weekly shootings and killing in Chicago, Illinois has been constant for the last several years. It is debatable as to who all is doing the shooting, but the fact is, the shooting continues on a weekly basis in Chicago and nothing the political and law enforcement leaders do in Chicago changes anything. Maintenance Means Learning and Sharing

September 2025  Topic of the Day- Life. Like Architecture, is a ver. If designed well, it works. It’s beautiful, and it needs no directions. It needs maintenance. How does one effectively maintain well in life? Some people are very goal oriented and seem to be obsessed with self-improvement. I think a lot of maintaining our lives is actually improving ourselves as we go through life. Maintenance in life is improving and moving forward, mostly through education.   One concept I was not taught in school is the concept of lifelong learning. To give ourselves, we need to continue to learn. There are those who choose to simply exist. These people are selfish. They are selfish because they are depriving others around them of all they can be by not maintaining themselves.
