ICE, Protesting and Responsibilities

January 28, 2026- Wednesday

Immigration and Customs Enforcement is the flashpoint during the past week in the U.S. ICE has been in Minneapolis for the last couple of weeks and many people in Minneapolis have protested what ICE is doing and they have directly interfered with ICE and now two protesters are dead. Both protesters were shot, one driving a car through ICE agents and one scuffling with ICE agents while he had a gun in his coat. These people definitely have the right to protest whatever they want. ICE is also required by law to remove people from the U.S. who are here illegally. That is millions of people.

We have processes in place that allow people to come into the U.S. legally. Some do not like the process, but it is in place to control who comes in and to know who these people are. We have had a number of U.S. citizens who have been killed or raped by illegal aliens which has caused many to be very concerned about allowing these people in our country.

People need to decide what risk they are willing to take when interfering with law enforcement. People can be hurt, arrested, and now we see they can be killed. ICE agents also need to be extremely careful when being engaged by protesters. U.S. citizens should not be at risk while protesting. These people also have the responsible to not interfering with law enforcement.

This has become a difficult situation because many people believe a person should not abide by a law they do not like. What other laws do they think are okay to break? This is why we have the strife we have right now. The leaders we have on both sides of the issue are fueling the fires of discord and are just as responsible as the ICE agents or the protesters.

We really need new leaders who know how to negotiate good solutions. The bigger problem is that these people are in short supply and hiding somewhere. They’re hiding because it is hard to be in the public eye when there is a news media working to degrade every person who does not believe the way they do.

The news media continues to run this country and most of the time, it is irresponsible.
